Okay, so this isn’t going to be much of a surprise for those who follow me on social media because I posted about it the other day. But, for those of you who have not already seen… I got a tattoo! It’s my first one and I’m absolutely in love with it!
I got an arrow on the inside of my arm as a motivator. An arrow can only be shot forward by being pulled back, so as life pulls you back, allow it to shoot you into better things. I’ve experienced my fair share of hard times but what’s important is letting those hard times mold you for the better. I’m thankful for my struggles because I feel as though they have shaped me into the strong woman that I am today. The arrow is a reminder for me to stay positive, make the best out of everything, never get discouraged, and keep moving forward.
After doing quite a bit of research, I picked a studio that a few of my friends have been tattooed at and I’m so happy with my decision. If you’re thinking about getting a tattoo, especially if it’s your first one, I cannot stress to you enough the importance of feeling comfortable at the shop you choose. Liking the facility and the artist puts your nerves more at ease. I was so comfortable with my choice of studio and found my artist to be such a cool guy, I had almost no nerves during the process.
So did it hurt? Yes. Was it bad? Not at all. The closer you get to the armpit, the more painful it is but nothing you can’t handle.
In the end, it’s worth it to have the beautiful piece of art on your body!
